United Kingdom: £1-a-week pay rise for incarcerated people
The Government has increased incarcerated people’ pay by £1 a week – bringing an end to an eight-year wage freeze. Governors of all public-sector prisons in England and Wales were sent a memo in September telling them to raise wage rates.
