Ramiro Gonzales was executed by Texas prison officials on Wednesday, after the U.S. Supreme Court declined to hear his case.Days before his scheduled execution in Texas, he speaks on faith, legacy — and apologizing to the family of his victim, Bridget Townsend. "I think ultimately the state is afraid to acknowledge the fact that we can be rehabilitated and be a contribution to society from prison — because it goes against how they prosecuted us, how they labeled us in court as menaces to society. Admitting that mistake would open up a Pandora’s box in the judicial system."
